Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as as seen through flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. In fear of stress, her parents were not keen to let performing before she turned 18. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. However, she began acting to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry went into New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California where she found acting jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie with her in the year 2015. Perry was a part of the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017 she had an recurring role in The ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. The same year the actress was selected to play a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's role. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong association with it.
